Introducing Emilia GT Veloce: The Future of Alfa Romeo

There is a very special Italian car company you may or may not have heard of: Alfa Romeo. Back in the 1900s, they were responsible for creating masterpieces such as the 037, the Giulia, and the GTA. Nowadays, they haven’t done anything really noteworthy since the release of the new Giulia back in 2016. Now, however, a small company called Emilia Auto has come along and is refreshing the original Alfa Romeo Giulia GT, bringing it into the 21st century.

The company has reported that each of the 22 cars it will make will have the 2.9-liter twin-turbocharged V8 from the current Giulia, making 505 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque. Emilia Motors will couple that engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission that can change gears in a mere 150 milliseconds. On the other hand, it will feature a thoroughly upgraded suspension and braking system, with coilovers and massive Brembo brakes. The exterior also gets modernized, with flared arches, a bespoke hood and new lighting. All this modernization comes at a cost, though, with each car demanding $471,000 U.S dollars to purchase.
