The ULTRA Limited-Edition Mopar '22 Dodge Durango

Dodge has just announced the limited edition, 2022 Dodge Durango by Mopar. This year marks the 85th anniversary for the high performance subgroup of Dodge, but with the SUV craze currently surrounding the car market, they are straying from their status quo of modifying sports cars, coupes, and sedans.

The Durango comes in either “White Knuckle” or “DB Black” paint, with blue accents coming in the form of an off-center stripe, Brembo brake calipers and a “Mopar” badge in the grille. Each car also comes with a “personalized metal certificate of authenticity,” which states the owner’s name and the serial number of the vehicle.

Mechanically, the car doesn’t deviate too much from the standard Durangos, with a 360 horsepower V8 powering the SUV. The only transmission option is an 8-speed automatic, which is good for towing, but not so much for user engagement.

The Durango is the 12th Mopar car to be delivered straight from the Dodge factory, with other models including various Challengers, Chargers, and Ram 1500s.

Only 250 will ever be produced, making it a very rare and special version of the Durango that comes at a surprisingly cheap price: $3,995.
